Overview

In addition to the survey tools provided university-wide (REDCap, Question Pro, Google Forms), the School of Medicine also has a subscription to Qualtrics for research that is best suited on that platform.

Choosing the Right Tool

1. Determine which VCU sensitivity category the data falls into by using the Data Classification Tool.
   1. If the data being collected is VCU Category 1 data, use REDCap.
   2. Otherwise, explore which of the other tools may best meet your needs.  The Research Systems team is available for consultations (submit a Cherwell ticket).
